His news networks lean right, but something in his marriage is wrong.
Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall are headed for divorce, according to a report.
The end of Murdoch’s fourth marriage is unlikely to affect his media empire, the New York Times reported. The Times cited two people “with knowledge of the decision” in reporting the split.
Murdoch, 91, and Hall, 65, were most recently seen in public at a party for Murdoch last October. There were no signs of conflict at the time, according to the Times.
Murdoch’s vast media holdings include Fox News and other Fox properties, the New York Post, The Sun in Britain, and Sky News in Australia.
He’s been married four times, most recently tying the knot with Hall in 2016. From 1956 to 1967, he was married to Australian model Patricia Booker. His second marriage, with journalist Anna Maria Torv, was his longest and lasted from 1967 to 1999. When they split, Murdoch married businesswoman Wendi Deng, and they stayed together from 1999 to 2014.
Hall dated Mick Jagger starting in 1977, and they were married in 1990 in Indonesia. However, the marriage was annulled in 1999.
