Gunman on moped takes pot shot at rival while riding down NYC street

A gunman riding a blue moped was caught on video opening fire on a rival, police said Wednesday.

The victim was standing outside a building on Dekalb Ave. near E. 212th St., a block away from Woodlawn Cemetery in Woodlawn Heights, when the shooter, wearing a black hoodie, rolled up just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, cops said.

Surveillance video released by the NYPD shows the moped rider looking over at the victim, slowing down, whipping out a gun and firing off a single round. The gunman then used his feet to propel the moped forward, picking up speed to get away.

The victim scrambling for cover into a building’s courtyard, the video shows. He was was not struck.

Cops are trying to identify the shooter, as well as the victim.
